Using Pelagus

Pelagus wallet is specifically designed for use with the Quai network. Users can manage their shard addresses, transactions, and other features using Pelagus.

Receiving Assets

1. To receive assets in the wallet users will need the address of the wallet. Simply copy the wallet address or use the QR code provided.

Sending Transactions

1. Click the Send icon below your account balance to open the transaction send page.

2. Enter the amount and token that needs to be sent.
3. Paste an address from any shard in the "Send To" field.

4. Click Send.

Additional Addresses

1. Click the Shard name at the top right of the wallet which to get to the Accounts view. From here, click Add Address.

2. Select the Shard address to add from the dropdown and click Confirm.

Viewing Activity

1. To view the wallet address activity, simply select the Activity tab on the main screen.

Clearing Transaction History

1. To clear the transaction history, go to the desired account and select the menu option for that account (shown as 3 vertical dots).

2. Then select Clear Transaction History.

Rename a Wallet Address

1. To rename an address, go to the desired account and select the menu option for that account (shown as 3 vertical dots).

2. Then select Edit Name and enter the desired name.

Export Private Key

Note: No one from Dominant Strategies, Pelagus, or other team member will ever ask for your phrase or private keys. Anyone with the private keys or phrase can access all funds in the addresses linked to it, so please secure these keys and phrases.

Also note that each shard will have a different private key.

1. To export the private key of an address, go to the desired account and select the menu option for that account (shown as 3 veritical dots).

2. Then select Export Private Key.

Switching Networks

1. Click the network icon at the top left of the screen.

2. This provides a list of networks users can switch to or to toggle on developer environments.

Dapp Connections

1. Users can disconnect the wallet from Dapps they used by selecting the Dapp connections icon shown above.

2. Then clicking Disconnect for the chosen Dapps.

Exporting the Private Key

Users can export a unique private Key for each address.

1. Select the address drop down icon at the top of the wallet.

2. Click the Menu button on the address to export the private key from.

3. Now you have access to the private key for that given address.

Adding additional wallets

Pelagus allows users to import additional wallets via Recovery Phrase or Private Key. Also users have the ability to add a "Read Only" address to monitor and view a certain address without having access to it. This latter function can be useful to monitor other wallets that you do not want to actively use.

1. Select the address drop down menu icon.

2. Click the Settings Icon (cog).

3. A new window will pop up allowing users to select among the different methods on adding an additional wallet to Pelagus.
